John C. Cashion passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was the widower of Elizabeth "Betty" Cashion, with whom he shared 35 years of wedded happiness. Born in Port Washington, NY and raised in Montreal, Canada, John was the son of Newton and Mary Cashion. John served in the Air Force during WWII, and was later employed as a long haul truck driver. He was most proud of his "3 Million Miles Driven Without an Accident" award. John enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing, tennis, golf, and ice hockey. He will be remembered for his cheerful disposition and the huge smile he always wore.
He is survived by his daughter Leda Moreland (Larry); step-sons Randall Smith (Kimberly), & Chris Smith (Debra); his grandchildren Sheri, Teri, Malina, Rebecca, Kyle, Megan, Tiffany, and Kyle; and nine great grandchildren.
The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 21st at 11:00 am at French Funerals located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE in Albuquerque.
