John Boyd

John A Boyd, 74 of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in his home. Born September 11, 1950, in Albuquerque to Patricia Boyd and Alfonso Zamora, John lived a life full of warmth, laughter and connection. 

In April 1974 he married the love of his life Pat, with whom he shared many cherished years before her passing. A proud and dedicated concierge by profession, John thrived in his role, known for his kindness, easy conversation and ability to make everyone feel valued. His charisma and positive outlook defined him - he truly believed that the key to life was maintaining a positive attitude and spreading joy wherever he went. He found comfort and companionship through friendships with his neighbors and son-in-law's family who embrace him as one of their own. Though he never considered himself an "animal person," his gentle spirit showed in the care he gave to his wife's dogs and even the neighborhood feral cats.  

Kind-hearted and fun-loving man who always looked for the positive in life. He was known for his warm smile, steady routine, and the way he brought joy to those around him. After the loss of his beloved wife, he found comfort and companionship through friendships he recently found at his local senior center.  

We cherish the memories shared over his excitement and love of classic rock music, movies and watching the Denver Broncos games.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Boyd, his brother, Steve Boyd. His sister, Eva Montoya passed shortly after. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Alaina and husband, Mike Green; Cynthia and husband, David Gutierrez; and his cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Lloyd, and Olivia. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Boyd and wife, Susan Boyd, along with many dear friends who will miss him deeply. 

Those who knew him will remember his positivity, love of routine, and the way he made others feel welcomed and valued. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. 

A celebration of life will be held at Barelas Community Center on December 13, 2025, 800 Broadway Rd SW, from 10:00am-1:00pm.
