Joellyn "Jody" Vandock

Joellyn "Jody" Vandock, age 89, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side, on Thursday, April 4, 2024. 

Jody was known for her love of family and was happiest when her family came to visit. She also loved to cross stitch and made each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren 'Baby's First Christmas" ornaments. She also made other keepsakes for all of her family members, that are treasured. When not with family, her favorite pastime was to visit the casino and play bingo. She is survived by her children, Kim Murdock (Cliff) and Karen Gieri (Joe); grandchildren, Gian Gieri (Amber), Justin Hunt, Jennifer Johnson (Dave), Jason Hunt (Samantha), Kristen Brandenburg (Logan) and Rebecca Keller (Griffin); and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald States (Jane); sister-in-law, Patricia Monise; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jody was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald Vandock; her parents, William Harold States and Evelyn Annabelle Innis States Hackley Rhodes; and her brother, James Harold States. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at FRENCH-Lomas, with a reception to follow. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
