Joe Robert "Bobby" Pacheco

Joe Robert "Bobby" Pacheco passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. In the days leading up to his passing, he was embraced by laughter, cherished memories, and the people who meant the most to him. Bobby was born June 15, 1944, in Clayton, New Mexico, where he grew up and graduated from Clayton High School in 1962. It was there that he formed lifelong friendships and met Stella Dominguez, the woman who would become his beloved wife.

Bobby began his working life at Safeway in Clayton, the beginning of a long career in Albuquerque, where he worked for Safeway/Furr's for many decades before retiring in 2001. In retirement, his love for his yard inspired him to start his own lawn service. He also worked for the New Mexico School for the Visually Impaired as a handyman, where he quickly became much more than that. He willingly took on countless other tasks, and his dedication, kindness, and willingness to help made him someone who was deeply valued by the school community. After retiring from NMSVI, Bobby joined Stella in helping with her daycare. Together, they cared for and loved many children until they both retired from the daycare in August 2015.

Their retirement years were filled with traveling, family, and making memories with the people they cherished. Bobby shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with Stella, who preceded him in death eight years ago. He is now reunited with her and with the loved ones who went before him-a reunion that brings comfort to those he leaves behind.

Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known for his generosity, humor, kindness, and genuine care for others. Whether through his work, his willingness to lend a hand, or simply being there for the people he loved, Bobby had a way of making those around him feel cared for.

Bobby is survived by his four children: Jacquelin Pacheco-Quintana and her husband, David Quintana; Cynthia Cadman and her husband, Jack Cadman; Brenda Grier and her husband, Michael Grier; and Monty Pacheco and his wife, Jolene Pacheco. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Kyle (Gen) Lamb, Spencer Orr, Navy Encinias, Christina Orr, McKenna Grier Griego, Isabella Grier Petross, Kade Avery Lamb, Michael Grier III, Sophia Cadman, Robert Pacheco, and Lucia Cadman; and five great-grandchildren: Cynciir Orr, Cristiano Zayn Orr, Soleia Griego, Manolo Griego, and Tiago Griego.

Bobby's greatest legacy is the family he built and the memories he created with those around him. His warmth, humor, and love will continue through the generations and in the countless stories his family will share for years to come.

He will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family finds peace knowing that he has been reunited with Stella and the loved ones he held so dear. He will be missed more than words can express. His life was a gift. His love was his legacy.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00am at FRENCH-Wyoming, followed by a reception.
