Joe "Bino" Minero, 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 12, 2026. Bino was known for his warm spirit, hardworking nature, and love for spending time with those he cared about most.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Esperanza L. Salazar; his children, Ralph Minero and wife, Susan, Robert Minero, and Roger Minero; and the children he loved as his own, Cynthia Munoz and husband, Joe, Lisa Turner, Susan Dunham and husband, Don, Kenneth Salazar and wife, Yvonne, and Gabriel Landin and wife, Jen. He also leaves behind extended family members, and dear friends who will deeply miss him.
Bino was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Mercedes Minero; and his siblings, Ambrose Minero, Mercy Garcia, Alex Minero, Dora Minero, Michael Minero, Henry Minero, and Louie Minero.
Bino dedicated many years to the automotive industry, working in the parts department at Galles Chevrolet before proudly owning and operating NuMex Auto Parts. Outside of work, he enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and was always ready for a good time filled with laughter, family, and friendship.
He will be remembered for his caring heart, his wonderful sense of humor, and the big smile that brought joy to everyone around him.
A Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University, with family receiving guests at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow.
