Joanne B. Keene

Joanne B. Keene, 86. A loving wife, mother, grandmother went to be with our Lord on June 6, 2016. Joanne was a strong woman and devoted catholic. Joanne had many talents and hobbies that included tap dance, sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. She loved to travel the world and had many adventures. She was known for her beautiful red hair, smile, laugh and honesty. She made a big deal of birthdays and when giving a gift she would always say "it's just a little happy". She loved spending time with her family and friends. Joanne is survived by the love of her life and husband of 65 years, Frank L. Keene; her three sons, James (Pat) and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque, Jerry and wife, Christine of Truchas, Bill and wife, Stephanie of Austin; and granddaughters, Erin, Amy and Kelly Keene. She also leaves behind her sister, Carolyn and husband, Jack Dorso of Albuquerque; brother, Tom and wife, Shirley Tormey of Chandler AZ; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Annie Louise Tormey and William D. Bridges; her loving sons, Timothy and Christopher Keene; her sister Emma Gillespie; brother Capt. Dawson Bridges and her stepfather Thomas P. Tormey. A Mass will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, 11:00 a.m. preceded by a Rosary at 10:30a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee, Albuquerque N.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in her name to a charity of your choosing.
