Joan Angela Monnin

Joan Angela Monnin, 75, earned her wings on August 20, 2025. She was born to Deluvina and Frank P. Trujillo and preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Casimero Trujillo.

Joan is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gary; siblings, Marie Priscilla Torres (husband Ron) and Frank Roy Trujillo (wife Donna Fastle); daughters, Pamela Wheeler (husband Kirk) and Stacie Lopez; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by some very special people, including Mark Lopez, Celia Osborne, Louie and Yvonne Montoya, Carmen Griego, Sandy Biagini, and Hayley Hendricks, RN.

Joan enjoyed adventures, traveling the world with her husband. She also loved camping outdoors, gardening, and reading biographies and medical books. Joan's favorite activities included family get-togethers and sharing time with the grandkids, who brought so much joy to her life.

Services will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Rd. NE. Pallbearers will be Mark, Eric, and Devin Lopez, Kevin Wheeler, and Ronnie and Randy Torres. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
