Jiri Vojta

VOJTA, JIRI Jiri Vojta, age 82, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Beloved husband of Ann; loving father of Alexander (Fabiola) of Lafayette, CA, Michael (Mary) of Richmond, VA and Jan of Pittsburgh, PA; brother of Hana Souckova of the Czech Republic; and doting grandpa of seven. Jiri was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marie Vojta. Jiri came to this country in 1957 and became a citizen in 1962. He was very proud to be an American. He was a retired History Professor and had lived in Albuquerque for 21 years. Jiri loved the Southwest, especially the mountains. A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 12 at 3:00 pm at FRENCH Westside. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, 5800 Ouray Rd.
