Jesus “Chuy” “Jesse” Dorado.
Jesus Dorado, age 61, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, entered eternal life on December 21, 2020. He is survived by his spouse, Pearl; daughter, Kimberly and Husband Gregory Wilder; sisters Dora Dorado of Las Cruces, Esther Dorado (Tio) of Mesquite, Elena Crothers of Moongate, Guadalupe Carbajal (Jimmy) of Anthony, Adela Fielder of Albuquerque, and Cecilia Reyes (Cecilio) of La Mesa; brothers Rafael Dorado (Rosa) of El Paso, Texas, Salvador Dorado (Lola) of Vado, Abel Dorado(Lorenza) of Las Cruces, Juan Dorado Jr (Terry) of Moongate, Jose Luis Dorado (Mike) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Daniel Dorado of Mesilla Park; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Jesus was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Francisca Dorado.
Born in Mexico, Jesus joined the U.S. Army at 18 and served honorably as a Cavalry Scout for 23 years, earning the Bronze Star for his heroic actions during combat in the Gulf War, and retired at the rank of First Sergeant in 2000. After retiring from the Armed Forces, Jesus continued to serve our country as a National Security Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. When not providing service to our nation, Jesus enjoyed spending his time with Pearl, Kimberly, and his best furry friend Sparky.

Though interment services within the cemetery are private, if you wish to honor Chuy and be a part of the escort to the National Cemetery, the procession will depart FRENCH-Wyoming, Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 9:00am and end at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Jesus will be laid to rest at 10:30am where he will receive full military honors for his decades of service. The link to view the live-steam will be provided here prior to the interment.
