Jerrie Lee Schear, age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Rio Rancho, NM. Jerrie was born in Belton, TX, Tuesday, November 8, 1938 to Durwood Murphy and Beatrice Reneau. She married William (Bill) Schear August 26, 1956 and were happily married 62 years. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Schear, father, Durwood Murphy, mother Beatrice Murphy, and sisters Billie Marie Murphy and Della Jo Greenwood. She was a long-time resident of Cliff, NM where Bill and her, raised two daughters, Sandra and Lori. Jerrie was very active in the community where she participated in woman’s club, 4-H, and the Grant County Fair. She was a long-time member of the Gila Valley Baptist Church where she was most happy serving in any way that the Lord or the Church needed. Jerrie drove a school bus for Cliff schools and retired after serving the school and community for over 25 years. After retiring Jerrie and Bill moved to Silver City, NM where they enjoyed game nights with friends and taking long drives together. Jerrie is survived by daughter, Sandra and her husband Lee Hale; daughter Lori Allen; grandson, Dally and his wife, Michelle Ward; grandson, Riley and his wife Tiffany Ward; grandson, Brent Allen; grandson, Slade and his wife, Hailey Allen; great-grandchildren, Cursten, Peyton, Tate, Harper and Stetson. Pallbearers for Jerrie include Lee Hale, Dally Ward, Riley Ward, Peyton Ward, Brent Allen, Slade Allen, Marvin Kartchner and Jared Lackey and honorary pallbearers include John Hinricks and James Murphy. Funeral services for Bill and Jerrie Schear will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, 11:00 a.m. as a celebration of their lives together at Memory Lane Cemetery in Silver City, NM.
