Jennie Aragon, 87, a warm and loving individual passed away May 31, 2017, leaving this world and entering a better one. Jennie was born and grew up in Socorro, NM surrounded by love and seven other siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pete V. Romero; her mother, Julianita H. Romero; brothers, Daniel H. Romero and Bobby Romero; sister, Ernie Esquivel; and Jennie’s husband, Orlando Aragon, encompassing 59 years of marriage.
Jennie owned and managed “Flamingo Beauty Salon” for well over 40 years. As a trusted hairdresser she had many loyal customers. She was also a member of “Catholic Daughters of America”. Jennie is survived by her son, Lester Aragon and wife, Debbie; sisters, Lugarda Clark, Dolly Yonker and husband, Mike; brothers, Raymond Romero and wife, Anita, Gene Romero and wife, Rowena; grandchildren, Brian Aragon and girlfriend, Diane, and Alisha Martinez and husband, Jesse; great-grandchildren, Orrin Aragon, Madison Aragon, Adelie, Ava and Jalia Martinez; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends behind.
The Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 9, 2017, 9:30 a.m., with Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE.
