Jefferson Davis Dulaney IV

Jefferson Davis Dulaney IV, our beloved husband, father and brother, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the age of 67.

Jeff loved education. He felt learning should be an individualized experience and endeavored to adapt his style of teaching to each class or student. His approach touched the hearts of hundreds of students over his 30+ years in the Estancia and Moriarty school districts. After teaching, Jeff continued to contribute to his community by working for the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department.

Jeff's strength and compassionate presence helped his family through difficult times. He was there for anyone that needed help.

He was also known for his "keeping you on your toes" personality. You never know what was hiding behind that glint in his eye or lively grin.

Whether greeting folks from his favorite chair in his front yard or meeting them throughout his day; Jeff always had a friendly wave, supportive hand or playful comment.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Carolynn June Dulaney; son, Jefferson Davis Dulaney V; and sister, Lee J. Keylon. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Jefferson Davis Dulaney III and mother Nancy Wier Dulaney.

A private ceremony was held for the immediate family.
