Jeanette Monahan, 92, passed away August 18 after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque from the Del Frate and Matteucci families of northern Italy who settled in New Mexico at the turn of the 20th century. She is survived by son, Patrick Monahan, daughter Patricia Kalb, son in law Jeff Kalb, granddaughter Marie Kalb, and grandson Brian Kalb. She married Jerry Monahan in 1962 and enjoyed a loving marriage until his death in 2014. Jeanette will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and a cunning bridge and poker player. She will be deeply missed.

Rosary service will be held at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, at 7:00pm on Friday, August 28. Funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper NW, at 9:00am on Saturday, August 29 followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of a donation to Casa Angelica of Albuquerque.
