Jeanette Rita (Franchini) Devoti

Jeanette Franchini Devoti, affectionately known as Mamma Devoti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at age 93, on Saturday, November 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born on August 29, 1925, to Ovidio and Argia Franchini. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Frank Devoti; and her four children, Colonel David Devoti, US Army Ret. (Marsha), Janis Devoti, Jeanine Voller, and Don Devoti; nine grandchildren, Angela Devoti, Paul Devoti (Michelle), Jessica Devoti (Brian) , Lisa Voller, Denise Voller, Chris Voller (Jessica), Marisa Mirabal ( Matthew), Dr. Dante Devoti and Adriana Devoti; great-grandson,  Theodore James Cafferky; and sister-in-law Rosemary Devoti. Mother was preceded in death by her parents, Ovidio and Argia Franchini; brothers, Frank (Mickey), Rusty (Rose), Remo (Rhoda); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Mickey Devoti; and daughter-in-law Ruth Devoti. Jeanette was a native of Albuquerque and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1943. She married the love of her life, Frank, on January 29, 1947, and would have celebrated her 72nd anniversary this coming January. Jeanette was a devout Catholic, and dedicated her life to serving her family, Church, and community. Her strong faith called her to devote 42 years as a charter member and volunteer with Birthright, to protect the lives of precious unborn babies. Jeanette’s passion was her unwavering faith and fervor to The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Blessed Mother. Frank and Jeanette made pilgrimages to Our Lady of Medjugorje and many other religious shrines throughout the world. A Rosary will be recited Friday, November 30, 2018, 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE. Albuquerque, NM 87110. Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE. Serving as Pallbearers will be her nine grandchildren and spouses. Honorary Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews, Lynne Peckinpaugh, Greg and Danny Franchini, Keith amd Kevin Franchini, Steve and Tony Devoti, and Christina Garcia. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Birthright of Albuquerque, 3228 Candelaria Rd. NE. Albuqerque, NM 87107. Jeanette’s life of devotion, service and faith were an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Dear Mom, may God Bless you and keep his arms around you always. Job well done mom!
