Jason Thomas Owens, age 46, of Tohatchi, New Mexico gained Peace and his Angel Wings on July 25, 2026.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served bravely in the Iraq War from 2003 to 2008 and again in 2010 to 2011. He attained the rank of Sergeant.
Jason was born in June of 1980 in Gallup, New Mexico to John and Bernice Owens. He was of the BitterWater Clan (Tódich 'ii'nii) and One Who Walks Around Clan (Honágháahnii). He grew up in Tohatchi, New Mexico and graduated from Tohatchi High School. He served in the Army after high school and retired from the Army with an Honorable Discharge in 2011.
For dedicated service to the Nation. He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Lee Owens and maternal grandmother Hilda Foster.
He is survived by Mother, Bernice Owens, siblings Marlene Owens, Jonathan Owens and John Owens and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and sister-in-law, Anna and 2 step-children.
Jason is remembered for playing his PlayStation games, painting, coloring and drawing, watching movies, listening to music and his unending humorous sarcasm. He spent time traveling and sightseeing throughout the world.
His watch is finished now. Rest in Peace Jason. We thank you for your service and your love.
