Janice Rae Schardin

Janice Rae Schardin, born on March 9, 1954, in Culver City, California, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A devoted office manager at Christ the King, Janice's dedication to her work was matched only by her love for her family, especially her husband, Walter Schardin, and their beloved dogs.

Janice had a passion for gardening, where her green thumb brought life to her outdoor sanctuary. The sound of birds chirping and hummingbirds flitting about brought her immense joy. She also found comfort in baking, often creating delightful treats that she shared with friends and family. Many will remember her warmth, generosity, and the laughter she brought to gatherings, embodying a spirit that was both nurturing and vibrant.

She is survived by her niece, Jessica Batres, and her brother, Blair Larson, both of whom will cherish her memory. Janice's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In accordance with her wishes, her remains will be cremated, and her loved ones will gather to celebrate her life and legacy at a later date.
