James Everett Trehern (Jim), age 88, was born July 7, 1937, in Pensacola, Florida. He passed away on November 24, 2025, peacefully at home. Jim joined the Air Force in 1955, he was stationed at Manzano Base, New Mexico. Where he met and married the love of his life, Glenda Trehern. He then started as a firefighter in Albuquerque in 1959. He was offered a position in the Los Alamos Fire Department where he spent the rest of his career, retiring as the Chief of the Los Alamos Fire Department. He went to work for the State of New Mexico as a Fire Marshall. Jim then worked for Accent Fire Safety Associates in his later years. Jim loved to hunt, fish, and ranching. Spending time with his family and friends was most important to him. Jim is survived by his daughter, Becki (Dodie) Jaramillo; son, Glenn (Liz) Trehern; he was the Proud Papa of 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am., on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at FRENCH - Rio Rancho Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE - Albuquerque.
