James Oates, age 87, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son Damon (Tamara); daughter Alison and 6 grandchildren; Brandon, Janelle, Charlie, Meghan, Lauren and Alex.

Born in Russellville Arkansas, he moved to Albuquerque in 1967 and worked as a pathologist for Pathology Associates of Albuquerque until his retirement.
