James Isaac Gonzales, 45, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on July 19, 2026. He was born November 2, 1980, in Farmington, New Mexico.

James had a big heart, a great smile, and was always the first to step up and help. Fiercely loyal to the people he loved, he cherished his family above all - and nothing in this world meant more to him than his daughter, Zailie.

James was a hard worker who made friends easily and was known for his sense of humor. He took great pride in his work including his driving skills, even earning his Commercial Driving License or CDL.

James is joined in passing by his mother, Patricia Silva; his sister, Emma Gonzales; his stepsister, Maria Cruz; and his beloved grandparents and Nani, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Zailie; his father, Jimmy, and stepmother, Linda; his sister, Danielle (Tim Wahlers); and his stepsiblings, Daniela (James Hosack) and Miguel Cruz. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
