James Leonard Cruz

James Cruz, 49, came to the end of his life's journey on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
James was born on Monday, October 1, 1973, in Orlando Beach, Florida. He had a zest for school and loved learning. James graduated from Manzano High School he went on obtain his PhD, and also worked in the medical field, ending his career as a coordinator of services for people with special needs.
James had many talents and interests which included music, philosophy, and studied different religions. James was an accomplished drummer in several local bands including Influence and Blinddryve.
James was the most patient, loving, caring, and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend and is survived by his four children: Jesse Cruz, Noah Cruz, Tomas Cruz, and Xander Cruz; his mother Adela Cruz; his brother Tom Cruz; his nephew Tyler Cruz; and close family friend Joseph Castillo.
James has been reunited in heaven with his father Emirto Cruz.
The family will attend a private service for James on Friday June 23, 2023, and a Celebration of Life for friends and family will be communicated in the coming days.
