Jace Chavez

Jace Michael Chavez, age 6, beloved Son, Brother and Grandson, was called to his eternal resting place on October 16, 2023. He entered this world on November 12, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Emilio and Christina Chavez. He is survived by his mother Christina Chavez; father Emilio Chavez; brother Christjen Chavez; sister Brianna Chavez; grandparents Frank and Ana Carrillo; grandparents Adolph and Peni Chavez.

Jace put out so much love into this world and received just as much back. He was a conversationalist and never turned down an opportunity to talk to someone new. He loved animals and collecting bugs and recently became a junior ranger. He was an avid Lego builder, Bakugan brawler, Pokemon card player and Marvel Hero in training. He was determined to become a karate master and recently got his yellow belt, of which he was very proud of.

Jace liked learning new things and always talked about his friends from school, including all of the shenanigans they got into - never one that would hold back on the details, even when he knew it would get him into trouble. Jace loved playing video games with his dad, especially Pokemon and Mario Brothers, looking forward to their "Sunday Funday" every week. He loved his mom's cooking and baking and always complemented her, never missing an opportunity to show his love. He loved spending time with his brother and sister, whom he insisted is "his" Brianna and Christjen. He loved spending time with his grandparents and teaching them all about the important things in life. Jace was overly affectionate, loved holding hands, cuddles and kisses. Jace was passionate...passionate about love, about his beliefs and about life.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at French's Funeral Home, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 with a reception to follow from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
