Isabelle Jane Roybal

Isabelle Roybal, 87, beloved Mother and Grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on June 15, 2019. She entered this world on March 16,1932 in Herington, KS, born to Riley and Rachel Larkin.

Isabelle graduated from Herington High School in 1950. She continued her education at Kansas State University and completed the School of Medical Technology at St. Joseph Hospital in Albuquerque, NM in 1953. Isabelle served as a clinical pathology technician in Albuquerque for over 20 years.

She is survived by the father of her children, Genaro Roybal, and two daughters Beth Lines and husband Bob from Colorado Springs, CO and Paula Hartbarger and husband Jerry from Lone Tree, CO. Affectionately known as "Granny Bird", she is also survived by five grandsons, whom she adored, Jonathan Mintle and wife Julie, Chris Mintle and wife Stephanie, Timothy Hartbarger and fiance Jennifer, Tyler Hartbarger and wife Jordan, and Andrew Hartbarger, along with four great grand-children; Kylie, Noelle, Jack and Lea. Isabelle is also survived by her best friend, Sondra Stewart. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Roybal; sister, Eileen Brown; and brother, James Larkin.

Isabelle loved spending time with her family and friends either talking on the phone, going on vacations, playing cards or simply sitting on the back porch enjoying a long conversation.

A Memorial Service will be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico at Santa fe National Cemetery on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. A reception will be held at 11:30 a.m. at The Nancy Rodriguez Community Center,1 Prairie Dog Loop, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
