Isabel Salazar, born on July 20, 1949, in Albuquerque, NM, peacefully departed this life surrounded by loved ones on March 17, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Mariano and Anita Sandoval.
 
 Isabel was cherished by her husband of 53 years, Gilbert Salazar, her daughter Deborah Flores (Gabriel), and her grandchildren: Jonathan Flores (Janet), Nikole DeLuna (Eddie), Daniel Flores (Mercedes), Olivia Nunez, Raeanne Nunez, and Alejandro Armenta. She was also adored by her great-grandchildren: Natalie Flores, Izaiah Gallegos, Ezekiel Flores, and the soon-to-arrive Jonathan Flores Jr.
 
 In addition to her immediate family, Isabel is survived by her sisters, Carla Cavalier and Barbara Garza (Tony), and her mother-in-law, Lupe Salazar.
 
 Isabel found joy in playing bingo and treasured the moments spent with her family. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
 
 Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Mariano and Anita Sandoval, her daughter Monica Salazar, and her father-in-law, Antonio Salazar.
 
 Services for Isabel will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, at Holy Child Parish, located at 19 Camino del Santo Nino in Tijeras, NM. The rosary will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by mass at 10:30 AM. Isabel will be laid to rest at Cañon de Carnuel Land Grant Cemetery. Please join the family afterward for a reception at Carnuel Land Grant. 
 
 Pallbearers for the service will be Alejandro Armenta, Eddie Gallegos, Daniel Flores, Gabriel Flores, Jonathan Flores, and Saul Nuñez. Honorary pallbearer, Tony Garza.
 
 Isabel’s departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared with those closest to her heart. 
 
 Our family deeply appreciates everyone’s love and support during this difficult time. We ask that you take a moment to express your love to those who matter most, make the phone call, send the card, go visit, hug them tightly, and cherish every moment. Time waits for no one.
