Irene Brown

Irene Brown, 82, beloved Aunt, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was born on May 16, 1941, in Patagonia, AZ, born to Wilfred and Audrey Brown. Irene moved to Albuquerque as a child and lived here for the rest of her life. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1959 and started working for the Albuquerque Journal and Tribune in Classifieds until her retirement in 2008. She met many Albuquerque business owners throughout her long career. She enjoyed volunteering for her church, especially teaching children.

She is survived by her nephew, David McCully; nieces, Katherine McCully and Jennifer Spinler (Patrick Spliner); and great-nieces, Natasha Schommer (Tim Schommer) and Rachael Spinler; and great-nephews, Mikhal Spinler and Evan McCully.

A Visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at FRENCH - University, followed by a Graveside Service, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sage Ward Chapel, 8130 Sage Rd. SW.
