Herman Joseph Vogt, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 22.
A lover of life, he was born in Victoria, Texas and grew up in farming and ranching. He later served in the Army and Army Reserve, worked in banking, and ultimately retired as a financial analyst for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He loved gardening and flowers, as evidenced by his abundant, vibrant yards with thousands of flowers that were admired by many.
He is preceded in death by his father Herman John Vogt, mother Rose Vogt, brother David Vogt, sister Rose Kloesel, and sister Mildred Farek.
He is survived by his wife Madeline Vogt, brother Don Vogt and wife Margaret, son Christopher Ferguson and wife Carla, son Kevin Vogt and wife Lynda, son Dave Vogt and wife Janel, step-son Ryan Fuller and wife Angie, step-daughter Jodie Fuller, grandchildren Madison Vogt and Juliana Liberty, and many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as Uncle Bubby.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming with internment following at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
