Helen Binkert Weil

With deep love and gratitude, the family of Helen Binkert Weil shares her peaceful passing on July 2, 2026, at the age of 95.

Born on April 20, 1931, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Helen grew up with a bright spirit and a deep affection for her hometown. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in 1949, proudly part of the "49ers," a class she remembered fondly throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Caroline Hochsieder Binkert of Pittsburgh, PA, and Milton Anton Binkert of Quincy, IL; her brother, Donald Binkert; her sister, Marcella Binkert Kerrigan; and her longtime loving friend and companion, Paul Roney, with whom she traveled with to many parts of the world.

Helen is survived by her children: Karen Weil Loftus (Steve), Janet Weil Davis (Steve), and Mark Weil (Lisa). She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kelly Loftus Stone (Ryan), Ryan Loftus, Kristen Weil Sturgis (James), Kenneth Weil, and Travis Weil; and two beloved great-grandchildren, Jovie Stone and Jack Weil Sturgis.

Helen enjoyed playing bridge and travelling. Helen's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
