Helen E. Greenwoll, a resident of Albuquerque for 59 years, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Albuquerque surrounded by family and friends.

Helen was born in Denver, CO in 1936 to Robert E. and Verna M. Ferguson. She graduated from South High School and attended business college while working. She met Don, her future husband, a member of the Air Force in 1953. They were married in Spokane, WA in 1955. After two years in Chicago to continue Don’s formal education, Helen was excited to return to the west when Don was offered employment at Sandia Labs. Helen was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, and Eubank school PTA board member. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church whose members quickly became a second family.

Helen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald (Don); daughters, Laura Wyse of Albuquerque, and Joann (Jody) Greenwoll of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Robert and wife, Nancy Ferguson of Denver; and family members of Denver; grandchildren, Tracey Wyse, Jenine Wyse and Dean Wyse; brother-in-law, James (Jim) Greenwoll; all of Albuquerque. Helen was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Nancy of Albuquerque; brother, Roger Ferguson and sister, Donna Smith both of Denver.
