Helen Jane Ferrel

Helen Jane Ferrel, born Helen Jane Van Gundy, January 29, 1949, sadly lost her battle with breast cancer and was called home to her Lord on September 3, 2026. She was predeceased by her son Jason Webb Ferrel, age 4, and her daughter Hattie Belle Butler, age 37.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Donald Earl Ferrel, her son Brent Murray Ferrel, and her four grandchildren. She loved birds, mahjong, her faith, and family to no end. She was a lifelong friend to many and an enemy to none.

Services will be held on October 2, 2026, at 10:00 am at Sagebrush located at 7500 Montgomery Blvd. NE Albuquerque New Mexico 87109. Burial to immediately follow at Sunset Memorial, with a reception held after burial at the Bernalillo County Sherrif's Posse grounds at 10308 2nd Street NW Albuquerque New Mexico 87114.
