Hattie Ruthe (Thomas) Cochran

November 7, 1933 — May 6, 2023

Hattie Ruthe Thomas Cochran, 89, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023. She was surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on November 7, 1933, in Muskogee, OK and lived most of her life in Albuquerque, NM. Ruthe was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her personality was infectious, and she was loved by everyone she met. She loved her family more than life itself and her faith in God was immeasurable. She especially enjoyed being a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Four Hills Neighbors and Daughters of the British Empire.

Ruthe was extremely talented. She loved sewing, gardening, decorating, singing, painting, traveling, and playing bridge with her friends.

Ruthe was preceded by her husband Robert; parents Olen and Ada Thomas; sister Bonnye Rich; brothers James, Sol, and Ray Thomas; grandson Conner Winburn; and favorite dog, Jackpot.

She is survived by children, Lynn and Michael Winburn, Robbie and Ron Warren, Karen and David Gattis, and Tracy and Kyle King; grandchildren, Matthew and Haley Winburn, Brandon and Tyler Gattis, Madison Baumann, Heath Warren, Kyle II and Kimrey King, Katie Treadwell; and 8 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She is also survived by her brother and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held May 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd. NE.
