Listen to Obituary

Gwen Wynn, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by her beloved husband and sons.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Gwen lived a life defined by love, creativity, generosity, and warmth. She was born on October 6, 1958, in Albuquerque, the cherished daughter of Albert "Mitch" and Jackie Mitchusson.

In 1986, Gwen married the love of her life, Alan "AJ" Wynn, with whom she shared 45 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, devotion, and unwavering support. Gwen and Alan raised two wonderful sons, Jonathon and Bryan, each of whom carries forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and resilience. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in watching her sons grow into strong, productive men.

A woman of many talents, Gwen was known for her gift in the kitchen and her deeply caring spirit. Her Swarovski Christmas gifts were legendary and brought delight to everyone who received them. When she wasn't cooking for her boys, Gwen could often be found crocheting, volunteering with the Smokey Bear organization, collecting rare coins, or spending treasured time visiting her father, mother, cousins, and her adored grandchildren.

Gwen's heart extended far beyond her family. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering quiet strength, comfort, and compassion to all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and wisdom will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown, 2600 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Gwen's life.
