Gloria Marie (Forsythe) Chamas

Gloria Marie Chamas, 84, beloved mother and sister, passed away peacefully at her home on July 9, 2018, surrounded by her family. She entered this world on September 9, 1933, in Mentor, MN, born to Earl and Helen Forsythe.

She was preceded in death on April 23, 2018, by her loving husband of over 66 years, Gust Chamas. She is survived by her sister, Kay Ledestich of Big Bear City, CA; son, Lawerence Chamas and wife, JoJean Chamas of Smithville, MO; daughter, Laura Chamas-Ortega and husband, Moises Ortega of Belen, NM; son, Gust Chamas and wife, Elizabeth Chamas of Albuquerque, NM; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Gloria was active as a volunteer in her community and shared her musical talents with the senior citizens of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, 1:00 pm., at Grace Lutheran Church, 7550 Eubank Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122, of which she was a member for many years.
