Glenn William Abbott, born November 12, 1959, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was surrounded by those who loved him most.

Glenn was a devoted husband to Nancy Abbott, a loving father to Brittany Tarango, and a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Mila Tarango. His family was the center of his world, and he spoke of them often with deep love and pride.

A veteran of the United States military, Glenn served in the Army as a Corporal. He served 5.5 years active duty. Stationed in Fort Sherman, Panama/Fort Polk, Louisiana and Fort Myer, Virginia with The Old Guard where he was Honorably discharged. His dedication to serving his country remained a defining part of who he was throughout his life.

Professionally, Glenn retired as the Branch Manager for United Refrigeration, where he worked for 28 years. He was deeply respected by colleagues for his leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Glenn was known for his charisma and his gift of conversation. He loved to joke around, and in true Glenn fashion, he could - and absolutely would - talk your ear off. He had a remarkable ability to strike up conversations with anyone willing to listen, and this became one of his most defining and endearing qualities. He never met a stranger.

He loved to laugh and loved making other people laugh even more. Glenn also carried a lifelong love for the New Orleans Saints, cheering for them with passion every football season.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Abbott, daughter Brittany Tarango, son in law Nestor Tarango, and granddaughter Mila Tarango. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Mckenzie Gordon, father Frank Abbott Jr., and sister Debbie King

A Funeral Service will be held at French Funerals on Wyoming Boulevard on January 2, 2025 at 11:30am followed by burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A visiation will be held at 11:00am.

Arrangements are being handled by French Funerals and Cremations.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and care during this time.

Glenn's memory will live on in the laughter he inspired, the conversations he sparked, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished
