Gina Monica Mares -Salazar

Gina M. Salazar, age 58, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 26, 2020. She was a beautiful, smart, wonderful, caring and loving woman. Her smile alone could light up a room. She had many different careers throughout her life such as working at fair n square when first moving to Albuquerque in 1991, then caregiving to the elderly for many years, to being the parking attendant you saw at the local court house parking. She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Atwood, and brother, Manuel Atwood. She leaves behind her mother, Viola Atwood; husband, Victor Salazar; her daughter, Crystal Marie Mares; son, James David Mares Jr.; stepson, David Salazar, wife Shania; grandchildren, Alycia, Alizah, Raylynn, Samuel James, Jóvann Davina; step- grandchildren, Nevaeh, Naylynn, Josiah; sisters, Lee Atwood, and Simonita (Tilly)Chacon and husband Herman; brother, Marcos Atwood and wife Vera; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
