Gina Louise Donaldson

Gina Donaldson, age 66, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2026.

Gina was born on September 11, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio. Although she was born in Ohio, she was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she spent nearly her entire life.

Before her health challenges limited her ability to do the things she loved, Gina enjoyed playing softball, snow skiing, water skiing, camping, and traveling. She spent nearly her entire career working in the banking industry, where she was known for her leadership, dedication and strong work ethic.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Monteverdi; her mother, Edna Montoya; her favorite uncle, Frank (Ruth) Monteverdi; her daughter, Naomi Maestas; her sister, Sheila (Danny) Becker; and her grandson, Isaiah Torrez.

Gina is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 29 years, James Donaldson, who dedicated himself to caring for her during the latter part of her life; her daughters, Chryssandra Maestas and Melissa (Isaac) Torrez; her step-son, Jason (Molly) Donaldson; her brothers, Johnny (Lori) Monteverdi and Frank (Ana) Monteverdi; her grandchildren, Christian Yates, Alliana Maestas, Jenaiah Torrez, Anjelika (James) Utash, Hayley Torrez, and Evan Chavez; her step-granddaughter, Autumn Donaldson; her great-grandchildren, Zaylin Garcia and James Utash.

Gina's greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the love she shared with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services:

A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. and a Reception at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.

A Rite of Committal will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery Columbarium, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
