Georgia Maez passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, John Thomas Maez; her father, Jose Muniz; and her mother, Elsie Muniz. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Maez; son, David Maez; granddaughter, Alexandra Rivera, and husband, Michael; grandson, Anthony Joseph Maez and partner, Erica; great-granddaughters, Sophie, Ella, and Bonnie; brothers, Jerry and Jim Muniz; and sister, Jolene Muniz.
One of her biggest loves was dancing ballet, teaching ballet, and choreographing parts of ballet performances for Albuquerque Ballet Company and for New Mexico Ballet Company.
A Rosary will occur at FRENCH-Lomas on January 28, 2025 at 6:30pm followed by a Visitation. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10am, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue NE, followed by a reception in the parish hall. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
