George Nail

George Ronald Nail, age 84, of Albuquerque, NM, died on September 20, 2025. George is survived by his children George "Cliff" Nail and fiancée Michelle Rossler, Christopher "Chris" Nail and wife Dina Nail; grandchildren, George "Rusty" Nail, Elizabeth "Beth" Alexander and husband Elliot Alexander, and Nathan Nail; sister Maribet Uravitch and husband Rich Uravitch, and sister Carol Nail and brother-in-law James Donald "JD" Strode and wife Susan Strode. He is reunited with his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Joanna Strode Nail, who preceded him in death, along with his father, George Roser Nail; his mother, Wilma Francis Nail; his sister-in-law, Kathy Jorgensen; and his daughter-in-law, Patricia "Trish" Nail.

George was a Christian who had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was a long-time member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served in various capacities for many years.

George will be remembered for the kindness and love he showed his friends and family, his stellar career as an electrical engineer in power system protection, and his willingness to help those in need. He was a lifetime fellow of the IEEE and a lifelong Amateur Radio Operator, holding an Amateur Extra class license with the call signs K5HUI and W5SR.

George's memorial service will be held on December 20th at 2:00pm at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 8600 Academy Blvd NE. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church Food Pantry.
