George Monroe Fisher passed away on Jan. 31, 2026. George was a resident of Rio Rancho, N.M. at the time of passing. He was born in 1948 in Freeport, Texas. He graduated from Carlsbad Senior High school in 1966 before attending New Mexico State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Sept 1970. He later went on to earn a Masters in Counseling and education psychology in Jan 1976, also from New Mexico State. He lived in Santa Fe, N.M. and worked as a programmer for the state for many years.

George was very easy going and had an amazing sense of humor. He loved animals, especially his dog, Molly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Meredith Fisher and Ernestine Garrison, and his sister, Laurie Elaine Albright. He is survived by his nieces, Kristen Albright Hudson and Meredith Paige Peters.
