Genevieve Velasquez, 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on October 29, 2025. She entered this world on March 2, 1952, in Portales, NM, born to Christopher and Julia Ortega. She is survived by her husband, James Velasquez; son, Chris Velasquez; sister, Irene (Norman) Patterson; and grandson, James Velasquez III.
A Rosary will be held Friday, November 14, 2025, 10:30 a.m., with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
