Gary Murphy Wheet

Gary Murphy Wheet, 79, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2018.

Gary was born in Gary, IN on December 1, 1938 to Jack & Bonadine Wheet, who predeceased him. Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen M. Wheet; his brothers, Gene Wheet and his wife, Judy, and Buddy Wheet and his wife, Mary; his sons, John (“Jack”) Wheet and Gary Wheet Jr.; his daughters, Sherri Zurn and her husband, Michael, and Lori Wheet; step-daughter, Kari and her husband, Larry Willingham; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by family members and close friends.

Gary was a passionate collector who possessed a great depth of knowledge of antiques and the arts. He was gifted as a skilled and talented craftsman whose vision and creativity produced stunning carpentry works: tables, chairs, display cases and other treasured carvings.

A Celebration of Gary’s life will take place on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Lomas.
