Gabriel Rivera

Gabriel Joe Rueben Rivera, Jr. was born on December 4, 1983, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and unexpectedly passed away on June 14, 2024. Affectionately known as "Gaby" to his loving family, he leaves behind a profound absence that will be deeply felt.

Gabe graduated from La Cueva High School in 2002, where he formed lasting friendships and cherished memories. His passion for baseball defined much of his youth, a sport he embraced from early childhood through his high school years. Beyond the diamond, Gabe found joy in rooting for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, his loyalty to them unwavering.

An avid fisherman since he first held a fishing pole as a young boy, Gabe's love for angling was a cornerstone of his life. His favorite haunts included the serene lakes and flowing streams of New Mexico, with a special fondness for the Windy Bridge in Pecos, where he found solace and connection to nature.

Gabe is survived by his devoted parents, Gabe Sr. and Alicia Rivera, and his loving sister, Jessica Rivera. His passing leaves a void in their lives and in the hearts of all who knew him. Gabe's memory will be cherished for his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering passion for the simple joys that enriched his days.

In honoring Gabriel Joe Rueben Rivera, Jr., we remember a life defined by his love for family, sports, and the quiet beauty of the outdoors. Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00 am at Northeast Church of Christ located at 11000 Paseo Del Norte, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
