Frank "Pancho" Niner

Frank “Pancho” Niner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away September 19, 2026, at his home peacefully.

Frank was born in Bernalillo, New Mexico, raised on the Sandia Pueblo until the age of 15, then the family moved to Taos, where he graduated high school.

Frank worked on the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch as a wrangler and then as a cowhand at the Ludwig Cattle ranch in the high mountains of Pagosa Springs.

He enlisted in the Army in 1957, stationed in Germany. He returned to New Mexico to marry his sweetheart, Doris, settling with his family in Los Lunas.

Frank founded Niner’s Land Leveling, Inc. in 1969, operating heavy equipment for over 50 years. He was a pioneer in precision land leveling for farming and construction sites in the Rio Grande Valley.

He is survived by his lovely wife, Doris; son, Walter and his wife, Ruby; daughter, Alberta; grandson, Weston and wife, Danelle; and great-grandchildren, Daxton and Maylee.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University, with a gathering beginning at 9:30 a.m.
