Frank R Atencio was born at home in the South Vally on November 1st, 1952 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Our loving dad was welcomed into heavens gates by his parents, loving wife, son , great grandson and sisters on June 21st, 2026 .


Frank was a hard working and loving husband, father , grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He grew up in old town, was a proud graduate of the old Albuquerque High School. He then started his service to the community in the Albuquerque Fire Department, where he then retired after many dedicated years as an officer in the Albuquerque Police Department. During this time he not only protected and served the community but also raised a beautiful family with his wife Rosemary , and made many memories and touched countless hearts within his extended family because of his caring nature. Later in life not only was he an amazing husband and father but an amazing father-in-law , grandfather to six grandchildren and two great grandsons.


Frank is survived by his son Tomas Atencio, wife Janelle Atencio. Daughter in law Marina Camarillo-Atencio. Grandchildren; Ramon, Tomas Jr, Isaiah, Monique , Ethan, and Joziah. Great Grandchildren; Tomas Leo, Carolynn and two more on the way. His sisters, Barbara and family, and Patty and family.


Frank is proceeded in death by his parents, Margaret C. and Frank Eloy Atencio. Wife, Rosemary Atencio, Son, Ramon Atencio. Great grandson Isaia Jeremiah Rian Atencio, and two sisters Elizabeth A. (Jerrie) Rios and Flora P. Ruff
