Frances Arthur Scialla

Frances Arthur Scialla, 95, resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, December 3, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Scialla of Bradford-on-Avon, UK; her sister-in-law, Jill Scialla of Bridgeport, CT; friends, Alice Hastings, her son, Scott Hastings and his wife, Melissa, of Albuquerque; nephews, Jim Snyder of IN; John Buydos of MD; niece, Jane Texira of CT; plus many other nephews, nieces, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Michael M. Scialla; her parents, Rev. Walter B. and Frieda Arthur; brothers, Melvin C. Arthur, Rear Admiral Paul Arthur; and sister, Christine Mitchell.

Mrs. Scialla was a long standing and active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, where she was Chair of the “Commission on Missions” for nearly 20 years. She was a registered nurse and worked in her husband’s private medical practice for many years.

Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE.
