Forrest Scott Smith, age 75, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in his home on October 22, 2025.
Born on November 24, 1949, in Manistee, Michigan, Forrest devoted his life to service, integrity, and love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Following his distinguished military career, he continued to serve his country as a Special Agent with the United States Defense Security Service dedicating another 20 years to protecting our nation.
Forrest was a man of strength, honor, and impeccable character. He was deeply loving, with a big heart that touched everyone who knew him. He found great joy in tending his garden and in the companionship of his beloved little white dogs, Emiko and Max.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah K. Smith, who passed away on August 19, 2025, and by his faithful dog, Max. He is survived by his devoted son, Jason Scott Smith, his sister, Darlynn Krusniak, and his cherished dog, Emiko.
Forrest will be laid to rest with full honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on November 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. His strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion will be remembered always by those who were fortunate to know and love him.
