In Loving Memory of My Beloved Filomena DiNardo
It is with a broken heart that I write these words, trying to honor the life of the person who meant everything to me — my partner, my confidant, my home. Filomena DiNardo Born September 20, 1952 in Boston Massachusetts, left this world on May 31, 2025, at the age of 73. She was known to all as Meme.
From the moment our paths crossed, over 23 years ago life changed in ways I never thought possible. Meme was a beacon of light, warm, and unwavering — and somehow, she chose me to walk beside. Together we built a life of shared dreams, late-night talks, long distant trips, beautiful mornings, creating a home full of art, art that I created as she gave so much of herself to see that I produced and continued my work where she could be surrounded by simple beauty a safe place in the world our sanctuary. She leaves us only temporary.
Parents: Pietro Mario and Antonetta DiNardo, Sisters Angela DiNardo, AnnaMaria Valentine married to Vincent Valentine, Niece Daniela Mauro, Nephews: Joseph Mauro and Peter Mauro, Leaves behind her special Uncle Giulio Sonsini. A family that embraced her deeply, as they looked to her as a guiding light and to the young compassionate and understanding to their needs, all loved her dearly and will miss her.
There are so many things I will miss — the way she said Buongiorno every morning no matter what! How she said my name, how we could talk for hours or sit in silence and still feel understood. I’ll miss our rituals, our inside jokes, and even the small annoyances that now seem so precious. But above all, I’ll miss the love we shared — a love that taught me more than I ever imagined about strength, tenderness, and what it means to truly belong to someone.
Filomena was married to Major Stanley Scott from 1998 to 2000, who also saw the remarkable beauty in this Filomena. Though I did not have the honor of meeting Stan I heard many amazing things about him and his family.
Filomena shows many awards with, Defense Logistics Agency Performance Awards Sustained Superior Performance, Graduate United States Department of Agriculture, US Environmental Protection Agency, Air Force Institute of Technology to name a few.
As a son of WW2 Veteran Ray Larribas, I understand the importance of maintaining a high degree of integrity and devotion, I truly believe that God put Meme and I together for that reason as I feel she save my life with how she tended with care unconditional love for me. I owe you my life, all my love and devotion forever Meme!
Forever yours, Anthony Gerald (Gerry) Larribas
