In Loving Memory of Roy Quintana

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Roy Quintana, passed away on September 16, 2026, after a life filled with hard work, love, family, and many cherished memories.

Roy was born on December 23, 1943, and grew up in Ledoux, New Mexico located in Mora County, surrounded by his nine brothers and sisters. His upbringing in Mora helped shape the strong, hardworking, and family-oriented man he would become.

After graduating from high school, Roy proudly joined the United States Air Force, beginning a life of service and dedication. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked for many years as a truck driver. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. Roy eventually medically retired after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

Roy had a true love for the open road and enjoyed nothing more than riding his Harley-Davidson. He also treasured spending time with his family at the ranch, where many special memories were made. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather. He loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events, cheering them on, and supporting them every step of the way.

Roy is survived by his three children, Garreth Quintana; Royanne Machuca (Javier); and Desiree Quintana (David); and his five grandchildren, Devon, Lauren, Jacqueline, Xavier, Kyla and one great granddaughter, Ivy. He also leaves behind many beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Quintana; his mother, Beatrice Garcia Quintana; and his two brothers, Samuel Quintana Jr. and Joseph Quintana.

Roy's greatest legacy was the love he gave to his family and the memories he created with them. His stories, laughter, strength, and love will live on through the generations he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
