Felima Lovato Dominguez August 31, 1924 - June 8, 2026

Teodorita Felima Margarita Lovato Dominguez, age 101, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

A proud and faithful native New Mexican, Felima was born in Clayton, New Mexico, and spent her younger years between Mountainair, Bernalillo, and Santa Fe. She lived her final decades in Albuquerque, where she remained deeply connected to her family and friends.

Felima was a hardworking and dedicated woman throughout her life. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, she once dreamed of pursuing a professional career in music before devoting herself to raising her family. She later worked as a secretary for Los Alamos National Laboratory in the 1940s and went on to work for Sears in the 1980s as a supervisor of the credit department. Above all, she was an incredible mother, grandmother, madrina, and great-grandmother whose love, kindness, and generosity touched generations.

Felima possessed a remarkable sense of humor and charismatic personality that could light up any room. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her home and table were always open to family and friends, and she delighted in preparing meals and gathering loved ones together. Her warmth and resilience, along with her unwavering devotion to the Blessed Mother will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her son, Samuel Frederick Dominguez (wife, Judith Dominguez); her grandchildren, Marta Khader (née Dominguez) (44, husband Motaz Khader), Samuel Dominguez III (38), and Camilla Dominguez (46, husband Zachary Lively); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Samia Marta Dominguez (20), Macario Dominguez Saiers (19), Leonor Khader (8), Domenico Khader (12), and Remi Dominguez (4, mother, Melanie Sonntag). She is also survived by her siblings, Mercedes Rodriguez, Patricia Beard, and Ernesto Lovato.

Felima was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Dominguez; her daughters, Anne Dominguez and Felima Dominguez; and her son, Lawrence (Lorenzo) Dominguez.

Felima's life was defined by faith, love, laughter, perseverance, and family. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched with her compassion. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the memories she created, the values she instilled, and the enduring love she leaves behind.

Eternal rest grant unto Felima, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
