Faith K. Welter, a 53 year resident of Albuquerque, died on August 12, 2018.
She was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska on May 21, 1924 and was married to William Welter, a World War II glider pilot, for 52 years until his death in 1998. She completed her RN program at the University of Albuquerque in 1969 and worked as an operating room nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 16 years. Faith was active with the Rosemaling Club, entered many pieces in the New Mexico State Fair, and taught classes at the Bear Canyon Senior Center.
Faith is survived by her children, David Welter and Susan Manthey and their spouses, Myrna Welter and Tom Manthey; grandchildren, Emilee Manthey, Rebecca Kreiner and her spouse, Shawn Kreiner, and Christina Welter; and great-grandchildren, Cayden and Gabriel Kreiner.
A Service will be conducted niche-side on Saturday, October 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Wounded Warrior Project.
