Eustacia (Stacey) went to be with our Lord on June 13, 2026 at the glorious age of 98. A devoted Catholic, she was all about family and her faith in our Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Julianita Ortiz Garcia, husband Phil, brothers, Julio (Grande), Remijo (Nepomocena), Jorge (Victoria), Pedro, Antonio (Isabelle), and Julio J. Garcia. Sisters, Elena (Joe M.) Baca, Inez (Bill) Mayor, Ramona (Edward) Fischer, Soledad (Carlos) Moya, Trinidad (Ted) Shelton and Dorothy F. Garcia.
Eustacia is survived by her sons, Lawrence (John), John (Margi), grandson Derek (Kylie) Highhouse, great-granddaughters, Blake, Elsie and Hannah, sister-in-law Rosina Garcia, many loving Nieces, Nephews and Cousins as well as extended family and friends.
A Special Gratitude to Presbyterian Hospice case worker, Therese, nurse, Loretta, Indira, and Nurse Angels at "Robert House".
Eustacia was born and raised in Santa Fe. She worked for the State of NM both in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. In 1970 through 2004 she taught Confraternity Christian Doctrine (CCD) to school children. She volunteered to visit the sick distributing the Holy Eucharist.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Thursday July 2nd. 8am viewing, 8:30am rosary followed by Christian Mass at 9am. Internment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 2pm. Pallbearers are: Derek Highhouse, Frank Garcia, Thomas Gallegos, Bill Mayor, John Moya and Michael Moya. Honorary Pallbearers are: Anthony Burns, Dominic Garcia, Mike Hollowwa and Steve Mitchem.
