Eugenie Ninette Hobbs

Eugenie Ninette Hobbs (Nina to all who knew and loved her), went to be with the Father on December 12th, 2024. She was 84-years-old. Nina was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Leslie Killeen, and her loving husband of 49 years, Guy. She is survived by many close friends and extended family members who loved her dearly.

Nina was born in New York City, New York, but lived the majority of her life with her husband, Guy, in Albuquerque. Nina taught English and Music for many years at Grant Middle School. 

Beyond the love of her life, her husband, Guy, Nina was passionate about her many hobbies: travel, music and jewelry creation. Nina was a classically trained singer and performed with her church choir. She also loved her annual fall trip to Emerald Isle, North Carolina as well as frequent trips throughout the years to visit friends, who she treated like family, all across the country.

Nina will be buried next to Guy at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Friday, January 10th at 11 a.m.

Nina regularly honored many charities, to include the Wounded Warrior Foundation. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to that organization in her honor.
